Season 1
In the first season of series, Dexter Morgan was adopted by a Miami Police Officer, Harry Morgan who detected his homicidal tendencies and encouraged his son to utilize his violent impulses in a very positive manner by killing people who deserve it. His victims include mobs, serial killers and flagitious criminals who have slipped through the justice system as no effort was ever made to prosecute them. In order to satisfy his interest in blood and to alleviate his own crimes.
Season 2
Season 2 was premiered on 9-30-2007 and the opening episode was ‘It’s alive’.
With the start of the second series, Dexter’s underwater dumping ground for his victims is discovered by the treasure hunters. Body after body is being extracted from the ocean and FBI special agent Lundy is brought to investigate the case and to find out the “Bay Harbor Butcher”. Rita and Dexter’s relationship becomes very tense because of Paul (her ex-husband)’s words that Dexter was to blame for his imprisonment. Rita accuses Dexter and assumes that Dexter is a heroin addict.
Season 3
Dexter is back again with season full of action. The season opens with episode “Our Father” on September 28, 2008. Jimmy Smits plays a special guest role as assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado in the first episode. He was looking for the killer of his brother, who was actually killed by Dexter while chasing a murderous drug dealer named Freebo. In the second episode “Finding Freebo” Dexter’s search for Freebo was on. Later Prado witnessed Dexter with the weapon that killed Freebo,
Season 4
Clyde Phillips has recently been in news for cracking a deal with CAA. His fantastic contribution in Dexter, a cult television series must have got him rewarded with this deal. After all honesty and hard work pays with time and patience. He is a free bird who is not afraid to venture into new fields. Many would be surprised to note that he is a writer as well. His new piece of writing is going to be published and put up for sales this year.
Season 5
Dexter Season 5 will premiere on September 26, 2010, and will consist of 12 episodes. Despite the death of her character in Season 4, it has been revealed that Julie Benz will return for Season 5, but it has been confirmed that she will not return from the dead, nor will she return as a psychological illusion, such as Harry.
